Veith House Preschool

The Veith House Preschool provides a stable learning environment where each child is encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and mentally according to his or her individual strengths and needs. The program is designed to enhance children's cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, social, and creative development.

Our preschool is open to children aged three to five years in class sizes of up to twelve children. Classes run from Monday to Thursday and are separated into morning and afternoon classes. The preschool teacher is trained in early childhood education and is experienced in working with children with special needs.

Veith House Preschool runs a summer camp program, open to children from three to thirteen years of age, in July and August. Children can expect to enjoy many fun summer activities, including field trips on Mondays! Sumer Camp hours are somewhat different that the preschool's regular hours of operation and are detailed below.

The preschool room is open on Friday mornings for the Parent & Child Drop-In. Stop by with your child to read stories, do crafts, play dress-up, and anything else that looks like fun. Registration is not required for this program; simply show up for a visit with your child and have a great time!

Veith House Preschool's classroom is 100% peanut-free!

Computer Mice

The Veith House CAP site, in partnership with the preschool, offers the Computer Mice program. The program provides an opportunity for preschoolers to access computer technology and the Internet in a controlled environment, with the support of a knowledgeable CAP site monitor.

Children work in small groups to access the Internet at a dedicated computer terminal. They are encouraged to explore the World Wide Web in a safe and responsible manner — but not without having a bit of fun!
